This is the only place on campus that can accommodate all boys and staff in one venue, with capacity for 2000 people. As such, boys spend a significant amount of time in the hall, which is the setting for school assemblies, reunions, and speech days. It also performs a sporting function, with two indoor basketball courts and table tennis tables.

Completed shortly before the outbreak of the Anglo-Boer War, our beautiful hall was used as a hospital for British soldiers, particularly for Typhoid cases. In the past it has served as a dining room and assembly hall, but today is home to cultural activities, functions and concerts.

The Natal Canoe Club on the Dusi River is within walking distance and boys can store their boats at the club as they learn to paddle.
