The Olivier Bequest Appeal (OBA) is one of the programmes of the Foundation which is coordinated in conjunction with The Maritzburg College Old Boys Association (MCOBA). Supported by former headmaster, Mr Keith Olivier, who kindly agreed to allow us to use his name and volunteered to act as patron, the fund is set up to provide a framework and to encourage OCs (and other supporters) to consider a testamentary bequest to College via the Foundation.
Maritzburg College has a proud and distinguished history and has long been regarded as one of the premier boys’ high schools in South Africa.
The voices of some of our country’s most prominent sportsmen, academics, business leaders and social entrepreneurs have echoed throughout these walls. New generations of young men of the highest calibre continue to be moulded by the traditions and ethos of our fine school.
We recognise the importance of Maritzburg College as an educational institution, as well as the invaluable role that it has played in the lives of the countless Old Boys and College families since its inception in 1863. Maritzburg College will undoubtedly continue to play a pivotal role in the future success of our youth, our communities and our country.

Named in honour of Keith Olivier, distinguished Old Boy (OC 1948), educator and former Headmaster of Maritzburg College from 1978 to 1985, The Olivier Bequest Appeal welcomes our supporters who have chosen to make a bequest to Maritzburg College.
