We have a number of Scholarship boys who we would like to provide with care packages on a regular basis: Boarder “tuck” (an essential comfort food!), some personal care items but most of all some true College “love” and the knowing that someone cares.
Our Care Package programme currently provides quarterly deliveries to more than 30 scholarship boys. This is part of our mission to be invested in the lives of our bursary and scholarship recipients.
Volunteers from our College community can be paired with a scholarship boy who has been identified through our support structures and a care package can be delivered to him via the College Foundation Office. For volunteers who may find this commitment challenging due to location or other factors we offer to put together and deliver the care package on behalf of the volunteer. In this case the volunteer merely sends a personal note to be included in the package and covers the cost of the care package. The estimated quarterly cost is between R750 and R800 per care package.
Volunteers can commit to a quarterly delivery during the first week of each new term – ie: 4 x care packages per year.
Once-off contributions are also welcome!
