Craig Stewart; husband, father, brother, friend and fellow College Old Boy from the Class of 2000, passed away tragically on 5th August 2019. He was 36 years old.
This sad day happened just days after the annual Maritzburg College Old Boys’ Reunion Weekend – an annual pilgrimage for alumni from all over the world to return home, rekindle special friendships and share in the camaraderie and esprit de corps that inexplicably bonds old boys from this very special school.
Craig has left an empty space in so many lives, none more so than that of his wife Leigh and their 3 children, Tessa (6), Ben (4) and Gina (5months).
As friends and brothers we offer what support we can.
The College Old Boys’ Memorial Scholarship is our call to arms to keep a College dream alive – the dream that Craig’s son Ben will one day be able to follow his father’s footsteps and walk the halls and hallowed grounds of Maritzburg College.
This initiative will form a part of the 100MillionforCollege Campaign – an Investment in our Future.
Our target is to raise a minimum of R1 000 000 which will be invested in this 100MillionforCollege Fund and thereby permanently endow a scholarship that will not only allow Craig’s son Ben the opportunity to attend Maritzburg College one day but will also provide the sons of College Old Boys who have passed away with this very same opportunity.
